Gutted
(2009) 10 x 60’ for UKTV’s new Home channel

In each episode of Gutted, an unsuspecting hoarder returns home to discover it totally empty - apart from series presenter Mark Durden-Smith. Everything they own has been boxed up and loaded into a removal van parked outside. Getting these items back couldn’t be easier – all they have to do is remember what they had and answer a relevant question correctly. But get it wrong and that item is automatically put up for auction. Having seen many of their most treasured possessions auctioned off, our Guttees are offered one final dilemma by Mark – they can keep all the money raised, or get everything they own back. Your money or your life – which will leave you feeling less Gutted?

Quotes:

“We really wanted something for launch that shook up the familiar format of property programmes. Gutted feels fresh and fun but still touches a truth and revelation about people's lives and relationships - with their nearest and dearest as well as the sometimes bizarre stuff in their lives.”
