Charles is to continue to chair a revamped Pact Council for the next two years.

Pact is the UK trade association that represents the commercial interests of independent feature film, television, animation and interactive media companies. It is the largest representative group of screen-based content producers in the UK and the largest trade association in the film, television and interactive media sectors. Pact has regular and constructive dialogues with government, regulators and opinion formers on all issues affecting its members and contributes to key public policy debates on the media industry. Pact also provides services including business advice and subsidised legal services for all its members.

The new 12 member-strong council replaces the previous 32-strong council and comprises a chair, 1 member for each of the three Nations (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and 8 members from the entire Full voting and Group membership.

“I am honoured to have been re-elected to chair the new Pact Council,” said Charles, “and am looking forward to representing the interests of all Pact members over the next two years in what are likely to be very challenging times.”
