BBC TWO has commissioned Keep It in the Family, a 4 x 60' series about small family businesses. The series will explore why so few children of business owners want to take over the reigns of the companies founded by their fathers and forefathers.

The show will follow parents as they show their children how to run the business for a week and then sees what happens when the children are left in charge. Will the family decide to sell or carry on when the parents retire?

Keep It In the Family is executive produced by Twofour's Joe Houlihan with Lisa Edwards exec-ing for the BBC.

"Keep It in the Family will be an intriguing observation into the world of business and family, highlighting the dynamics, morals and values that cross generations," explained Lisa Edwards.
