The next series of Are You Smarter…? has been given a neat new twist. Noel Edmonds is back in sarcastic schoolmaster mode, bombarding students, whose school days are long behind them, with questions from the National Curriculum. However, this time around the contestants will play opposite a baby-faced boffin that they know or are related to, with the class of 10 year olds made up of the child’s friends. Imagine how much ammo a son or daughter would have if they beat a parent in the battle of the brains...

According to a note passed around class, a life-changing jackpot of £500,000 is up for grabs if the combined efforts of the adult and child can answer 10 questions on subjects spanning the primary school syllabus correctly.

A-grade entertainment, the family favourites are back, continuing their search to find the perfect pupil who can finish top of the class.
