Conversations with a Serial Killer traces the lives of some of the most notorious and fascinating serial killers of our time through a blend of documentary, archive material, eye-witness accounts and, putting the unique LIVING twist on the crime genre, also paranormal investigation.  The series hopes to open up a spiritual dialogue with deceased infamous murderers who have terrified and fascinated people for years, as well as documenting their lives and investigating the influences upon their earthly existences.  

Each episode will feature British investigative journalist Julie MacDonald and American psychic medium and ex cop, Bobby Marchesso (both pictured).  They will look into the lives of one infamous serial killer per episode, tracing their lives and attempting to spiritually communicate with these tortured souls, perhaps haunting the locations they frequented when they were alive.  Julie and Bobby will track the lives of serial killers Ted Bundy, Aileen Wournos, Albert DeSalvo (The Boston Strangler), John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Richard Trenton Chase, Belle Gunness and Charles Starkweather, visiting the locations where these renowned serial killers lived, worked and preyed on their victims. 

The journey across America offers compelling, yet terrifying, insight into the most complicated killers in history, accessing those who knew them, feared them and caught them.  Exposing the dark side of America the team searches for the spirits of these horrific butchers, whose names still haunt the world and have become synonymous with their crimes.  There will also be first-hand accounts from psychologists, local historians, criminologists and psychologists to help understand what made these killers tick. 

EPISODE 1 - TED BUNDY - 4 November

Ted Bundy orchestrated a campaign of terror that stretched across the United States. Between 1974 and 1978 he lured a series of pretty, dark haired women to gruesome deaths. Bundy was sent to the electric chair in 1989, whilst hundreds of people cheered his death outside the prison…

Psychic Bobby Marchesso and investigative journalist Julie Macdonald are on the trail of one of the world’s most notorious killers – from the Washington State Park where he abducted two of his victims in broad daylight, to the Florida boarding house where he planned his most notorious murders. In 1958 the real ‘Natural Born Killers’, Charles Starkweather and his teenage girlfriend Caril Ann Fugate, embarked on an 8-day killing spree that left 10 people dead and many more fearing for their lives…

Bobby Marchesso and Julie Macdonald trace the exact steps of this barbaric killer in an attempt to get some answers from the Other Side. What lurks in the corridors of Fugate’s disused high school, and is Bobby prepared for what is in store when he steps inside the Gas Chamber of Rawlins Penitentiary?

EPISODE 3 - RICHARD TRENTON CHASE - 18 November

Known as the Vampire Of Sacramento, Richard Trenton Chase was a deranged monster who slaughtered men, women and children in a bloody rampage that shook the Californian State Capital.

EPISODE 5 - JOHN WAYNE GACY - 2 December

He was known as the Killer Clown, and buried his young male victims under the crawl space of his suburban home. John Wayne Gacy was a monster in human form – a pillar of the community who viciously snuffed out the lives of more than thirty men.

Investigative journalist Julie Macdonald wants to make contact with this evil serial killer from beyond the grave. But as psychic Bobby Marchesso warns her, this investigation could lead them into danger. EPISODE 6 - AILEEN WUORNOS - 9 December

Made famous for Charlize Theron’s portrayl of her in the film Monster, Aileen Wuornos was executed in 2002 for the murder of seven men. A down-on-her luck lesbian prostitute, she lured her clients to remote wooded areas, and more often than not, shot them at point blank range.

Her last words said ‘I’ll be back’… but will psychic Bobby Marchesso and Julie Macdonald be able to make contact with her on their paranormal investigation? Is Bobby in mortal danger when he spends the night in Aileen’s motel room? And do the footsteps that echo in the Last Resort really belong to the dead serial killer?

EPISODE 7 - JEFFREY DAHMER - 16 December

Said to be one of America’s most sadistic serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer killed and mutilated 17 young men during a 13-year murder rampage. Dahmer’s sick and twisted lifestyle left its blood mark in Ohio and moved to Wisconsin where he would kill again.

Bobby and Julie retrace Dahmer's murderous road trip in search of his macabre spirit. Have we uncovered the most compelling paranormal evidence yet at the site of Dahmer’s first murder? Is Dahmer’s presence affecting Bobby’s temperature gauge at a once popular local hangout? Will a spirit reveal new information about Dahmer’s killing spree during the séance on the former murder site?

EPISODE 8 - BELLE GUNNESS - 23 December

Thought to be one of America’s most prolific female serial killers, Belle Gunness took the lives of more than 40 people at her secluded hog farm in LaPorte Indiana. Known as Lady Bluebeard, Belle would use lonely-hearts ads to attract rich suitors to her estate, before poisoning them and burying their dismembered body parts.

Bobby and Julie travel to LaPorte in search of the spirit of this cold and calculated killer. Who is the mysterious figure lingering at the abandoned school? Is it Belle’s voice heard through the spirit radio at the four-storey antiques mall? Is it Belle’s spirit in the air when wind chimes move on the former Gunness murder site?
