The new Hotel Inspector gets off to a flying start
The Hotel Inspector

Alex Polizzi's debut as the new Hotel Inspector last week has been applauded by the critics.

"That she has vowel sounds you want to put in a glass display cabinet only makes sentiments such as 'I'm telling you, if this were my hotel, I would have a f******* nervous breakdown!' all the more delightful.. She's absolutely topping," said The Guardian.

And the TV Times also appreciated how Alex has developed the role of The Hotel Inspector.

"Born into the formidable Forte hotel dynasty she somehow manages to dispense common sense advice while displaying glorious shades of Ab Fab's Edina. As a result, the show itself is better then ever." TV Times

Going out on Thursday nights on Five at 9pm - the second hotel Alex visits is The Lenchford Inn in Worcester. Dave and his wife Marie, her brother Ian and his wife Wendy had hoped that buying the Lenchford Inn would be a ticket to an early retirement but the combination of an empty restaurant and a sheer lack of experience has left their hopes in ruins. The restaurant, bar and bedrooms are as empty as their bank accounts and they make business decisions on the toss of a coin. Can Alex help solve their problems?

And at 10pm on Fiver comic Matt Bell goes undercover, beyond the shabby rooms and shoddy service to take a closer look at the featured hotels. In 'Hotel Inspector Unseen' Matt delves deeper into the failing hotels, exposing all their hidden secrets aided by hidden cameras and his 'tricks of the trade'. With exclusive video diary footage and never before seen moments, Hotel Inspector Unseen reveals all the tears, tantrums, trials and tribulations as the hotels and their hoteliers are transformed.
