Built From Disaster is a six part documentary series  about man-made structures - and how engineers and designers across the world have learnt the lessons from tragic disasters of design.  Filmed using the latest High Definition technology, and specially sourcing unique archive footage, Built From Disaster includes Stadiums, Skyscrapers, Bridges, Ships, Tunnels and Trains - and looks at the dramatic changes in construction practices that have taken place since catastrophes such as the Hillsborough stadium disaster, the Minneapolis bridge collapse and the sinking of the Estonia in the Baltic Sea. The programmes meet the world's leading engineers and experts who are designing the next generation of public buildings and vessels, including the Beijing Stadium (which can withstand major earthquakes) and the mammoth Stonecutters Bridge, currently under construction in Hong Kong harbour; and The Federation Tower - Europe's tallest building currently under construction in Moscow, which sets a new world standard in strength and safety for Skyscrapers
