
The first show in the second series of the fly-on-the-wall documentary, Beat: Life on the Street, maintained the excellent performance achieved in the first series by peaking at over 3 million on ITV1 on Sunday night. Building on an inherited audience of 1.8 million it gained an average viewing audience of 2.5 million across the entire episode.
Beat: Life on the Street follows the work of Neighbourhood Policing Teams in Oxford and Lancashire as they patrol the streets, build relationships and deal with the low level crime and anti-social behaviour that can blight a community.
