Twofour is to produce a hard-hitting, hour-long, documentary on the notorious killer Colin Ireland for ITV1's new Real Crime strand. Colin Ireland, dubbed the Gay Slayer, confessed to the cold blooded murder of five gay men in the 1990s, but were there more? Meticulously planned, four of the murders took place in just 17 days.

The Colin Ireland Real Crime documentary is executive produced by Twofour’s Mark Scantlebury.

The initial run of eight new Real Crime programmes will start on ITV 1 next month with seven more scheduled for later in the year.
