Virgin Media Television LIVING has commissioned Twofour to make a second series of its celebrity biography series, Exposed. The series takes one well-documented celebrity per episode and delves through the photography and iconic images that have defined them and their lives in the spotlight. The 8x60 series will include episodes on Lindsay Lohan, Kylie Minogue and Take That, with other stars to be confirmed. Exposed Series 2 will air in January on LIVING.
The previous series (13x60') featured episodes on Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton, Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham. Drawing from 8 million of the most famous celebrity stills courtesy of The Big Pictures photographic agency, Exposed will explore how celebrity influence has permeated every aspect of modern life - and how our fashion, politics, viewing habits and expectations are coloured by the world of fame.
The first series performed well reaching almost 5 million people. The first episode, the ever-photographed Victoria Beckham, was +142% on slot average at the launch of the series. The versatility of the show also lends itself to strong repeatability when stars are in the news. A recent repeat of Britney Spears' episode became LIVING2's best performing show, tripling the slot average.
Clare Hollywood, Head of Commissioning, LIVING said "The first series of Exposed played perfectly to our viewers' obsession with celebrity and was an ideal addition to LIVING's early peak time schedule. A second series will look to attract a younger-skewing audience, focusing on sexy, younger stars and groups currently intriguing the public and paparazzi."
Exposed is distributed by Minotaur International, the appointed distributor of Virgin Media Television and has so far been bought in 97 countries worldwide in 15 different territories.
The Exposed series is executive produced by LIVING Commissioning Executive Sophie Morgan, and by Juliet Rice and Melanie Leach, for Twofour.
