Noel’s Christmas Presents
(2009) 1 x 90’ for Sky1 HD and Sky1

Since the return of Noel’s Christmas Presents in 2007, the show has firmly established its place as must-see Christmas TV on Sky1 HD and Sky1.

In this show viewers had the chance to meet an inspirational RAF Corporal, who had defied all the odds to survive a horrific motorcycle accident, breaking 64 medical records along the way, helped by the love and support of his wife and three young children. Two game for a laugh grandmas were next up to receive a festive treat. Together Margaret (83) and Olive (71) have been collecting money for 36 years and have raised over a million pounds in total for children’s charities in the North East. Next to receive a festive gift was a courageous woman Valerie (66) who had spent the last ten years fighting breast cancer. In this time she had tirelessly worked to set up a specialist centre at Doncaster Royal Infirmary dedicated to offering free treatments to improve the quality of life for cancer patients. It was then back to school for another of Noel’s unforgettable gifts as a much-loved, inspirational headmaster was rewarded for determinedly working to reverse the fortunes of his school near Bolton. In just six months, he had turned his school around by uniting staff, parents and pupils. Unfortunately his celebrations were short lived after he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Throughout his treatment he only took 12 days off school and has been determined not to let his condition get in the way of the school’s remarkable progress. Noel’s present rewarded him headmaster with a musical treat he’ll never forget!

Noel’s Christmas Presents has been commissioned for the next two years to reward more of the nation’s most deserving, hard-working and selfless individuals with a Christmas present they’ll never forget.
