Noel’s Christmas Presents Unwrapped is an hour long special which re-visits some of the magical moments from the previous two years to see how Noel’s presents have changed lives and helped those in need. The show features the Forces Trust children, a group of children who have the shared experience of losing fathers in the forces to accidents and ongoing conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, and Jack Birch, a selfless twelve year old boy with a caring and sympathetic attitude to his younger brother, suffering from a rare brain disorder. It catches up with local community legend Smudge, a man suffering with Down’s Syndrome who has spent his life raising money for charities and supporting people he sees as less fortunate than himself and finds out how another courageous boy, Cameron Small, a ten year old fan of The Simpson’s who has put his own illness aside in order to help others is getting on. And finally it returns to the Morpeth Flood Victims in Northumberland to find out if they have recovered from their devastation after Noel’s Christmas Present’s pulled out all the stops and put on a star-studded surprise party for some of the families whose lives took a severe blow.
